Job Title: Senior Backend & Web App Developer

Contract: Full-Time

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid, with 2-3 days working in our Warwick office

About Us:

Moasure is looking for a Senior Backend and Web App Developer to work on the cloud API and online services that complement our exciting range of measurement products.

You will be a part of our strong research and development team which includes electronics hardware, embedded  software, cloud & backend software and mobile app development. The work you do will be crucial to the success of our  current and future products and cloud services.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to our future products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test and maintain our web services
  • Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and maintainability
  • Identify and troubleshoot software issues
  • Continuously research and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in web development tools &  methods.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • You must have architected web systems from the ground up and be a confident full-stack developer
  • You must be able to contribute to architectural planning and implementation
  • Must have a good understanding of the whole lifecycle from initial development to deployment & resource  provisioning
  • Use of GIT and Azure Dev-Ops
  • Coding & testing of REST API’s, ideally using Postman
  • Service deployment in a containerised environment, preferably Azure cloud
  • Web App coding in ReactJS, JavaScript or Blazer
  • C# Development
  • HTML / CSS
  • SQL (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience of deployment in a containerised environment
  • Database Administration
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
Desirable Skills & Experience:

These skills are not mandatory but would be an advantage to candidates able to demonstrate any of the following:
  • Experience of using JWT / OAuth
  • Microservices
  • Azure Service Bus / RabbitMQ / Kafka
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • React/Angular
  • Experience of developing customer facing web applications
  • Experience of implementing billing solutions (e.g. Stripe).
